Ironbark Vegetation Management works north from Bendigo for paddock slashing, firebreaks, forestry mulching of mallee regrowth and scrub, and mechanical weed control along channels and fence lines. • 01Flat grassland around Kerang and Cohuna carries fast-running grassfire risk every summer. Slashing headlands, fence lines and firebreaks through spring is standard practice.
• 02Mallee and scrub regrowth on old ground goes feral if it is left. Forestry mulching takes it back to workable paddock in one pass, no burning, no haul-away.
• 03Blackberry and boxthorn hold along channels, drains and lagoon edges. Mechanical clearing plus a spray follow-up is the only thing that holds them.
• 04Farm firebreaks and APZs around sheds, houses and hay storage need doing before the fire danger period, not during it. We book out early.
