Ironbark Vegetation Management is a Bendigo based land clearing and vegetation management contractor working across Central Victoria, roughly a 150km radius of Bendigo. • 01Victoria has some of the highest bushfire risk country in the world. Every rural property, hobby farm, lifestyle property and bush-fringe home carries a fuel load that needs managing before the fire danger period, not during it. We work to CFA standards for Asset Protection Zones and defensible space.
• 02Declared weeds are a Victoria wide problem. Blackberry, gorse, serrated tussock and willow are all Weeds of National Significance and landholders across the state have a legal responsibility to control them under the Catchment and Land Protection Act 1994. Mechanical clearing plus a follow-up spray plan is the standard approach.
• 03Forestry mulching is the most efficient way to reduce fuel loads on regional Victorian properties. One pass, no burning, no haul-away, and the mulch stays on-site as a weed suppressing layer that holds moisture and feeds the soil. It works on Box Ironbark, Mallee, gum forest, tea tree and river red gum country alike.
